Who we are

We are a local church for Ruscote, Hardwick and Hanwell Fields in Banbury – we are officially a partnership formed from the Church of England, Methodist and United Reformed churches but in practice we have a wide variety of churches represented.  We also have a long standing partnership with the Roman Catholic parish of St Joseph’s.

We are an Ecumenical community – encouraging difference, welcoming diversity and seeking unity where we can. We aim to Make Jesus Known in all we do and say.  Together we seek to share the values of  Hospitality, Commitment, Learning, Worship & Prayer, Community and Diversity. Part of Making Jesus known, for us, involves the following…

Every Sunday 10:30 is children friendly which means we have planned activities, toys, snacks and friendly flexibility to make sure children have a great and prayerful time either ‘Cafe’ style, where children remain in church throughout, activities and refreshments included or Holy Communion or Morning Worship with Children’s Church in the hall. After Children’s church the children come back into the church for communion. For Roman Catholic Mass information see Banbury Catholic Churches.

We gather for Morning prayer (currently on zoom) weekdays (Monday-Thursday) from 9:00am to pray for our world and community.

On Tuesdays at 10am we have a reflective Communion (this is suspended until further notice)

We run a variety of community events such as Drop in, the Encounter Coffee Mornings, Kids Club, St Francis Tots,  and we offer a warm welcome for Christenings and Weddings
