We are currently reviewing the Electoral Roll/Membership list at St Francis Church, as we are required to do in the Church Representation Rules. Should you wish your name to be added, please complete one of the forms descibed below having previously read the Notes. Whichever list you are on you are entitled to the same privileges i.e.to vote at the AGM and stand on committees. Every six years these lists are updated and new forms must be completed.
If you consider yourself an Anglican (Church of England) please complete the Electoral Roll Form. If you consider yourself of another denomination you can either complete the Membership Form or an Electoral Roll Form. We will then – as per our Constitution – be creating a common roll of members.
Although the Anglican Electoral Roll does not have any specific stipulations attached to being on it, we do ask everyone who signs either of these forms to read the Notes below.
Please return your form by post, addressed for the attention of Jan Brooman, St Francis Church, Highlands, Banbury OX16 1FA. If you wish to return it by hand, please put it in an envelope marked for the attention of Jan Brooman.
If you have any queries over this process please speak to Rev Chris Gaynor on 07429 518205 or email him on allrevedup@hotmail.co.uk
The latest date for return of your form is MONDAY 17th FEBRUARY 2025.
Notes
- Full adult membership is available to anyone who is baptised and has discussed and agreed membership with the Minister or Churchwarden.
- Membership enables you to vote at Congregational meetings and to stand for office.
- Membership does involve some commitment on YOUR part, to give God the “Three T’s” – Time, Talent and Treasure: in other words, to attend Church regularly, to play your part in the life of the Church and to give realistically and prayerfully towards God’s work in this place.
- Membership also involves commitment on OUR part, as we offer you our friendship, fellowship, teaching and support as we walk together with Jesus through our lives and learn together how to grow in faith and service.
